Golf in sri Lanka
Sri Lanka is not immediately associated with golf. However, the story of golf on the island began in 1891 when a first competition was organized. This round tour which combines visits to the cultural sights and golf, takes you to the historical 18-hole circuits of Sri Lanka; the Royal Colombo Golf Club, Victoria Golf and Country Resort in Kandy at an altitude of 600 meters and the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club at more than 2000 meters above sea level.

Royal Colombo Golf Club
Founded in 1879, the first golf course in the country receives the title of “Royal” in 1928, thanks to King George V, thus becoming the second oldest golf course outside of Britain to carry this illustrious distinction. As for the course itself, the terrain is flat and beautifully tree-lined. The main difficulties are represented by the ubiquitous bodies of water. The most charming aspect of this course is without a doubt the railway that snakes its way through the grounds, a whistle announcing the arrival of the train.
